The Salt Lake County Republican Party vehemently condemns indictments that are driven by political motives.
Residents of Salt Lake County,
It is our honor to represent you on the Salt Lake County
Council. We live in the largest and most diverse county by
population and GDP. As council members, we take our
stewardship over a $1.8 billion annual budget seriously. This
year, we look forward to leading out on conservative initiatives
that will improve your government.
Our efforts will begin by inviting the public into our
decision-making process by initiating a countywide survey on
our services and taxes. This survey will inform us on how to
better serve you and respond to your needs.
We will demand greater transparency and accountability as
we ask for additional reporting and data. We will also
empower the county auditors to look closely at various county
operations to ensure we are meeting our statutory and
fiduciary responsibilities in the best way possible.
As your Republican majority, we pledge to reign in wasteful
spending and look for ways to make living in the county more
affordable. We look forward to working with our colleagues
across the aisle as we join in these endeavors.
We appreciate the trust you have placed in each of us as your
elected representatives.
Sincerely,
Salt Lake County Council Republican Majority Caucus
The Republican National Committee rejects ranked choice voting and similar schemes that increase election distrust, and voter suppression and disenfranchisement, eliminate the historic political party system, and put elections in the hands of expensive election schemes that cost taxpayers and depend exclusively on confusing technology and unelected bureaucrats to manage it; and calls on Congress, state legislatures, and voters to oppose
ranked choice voting in every locality and level of government and return elections to easier systems that have worked for centuries for fair and transparent elections.

Whereas, the Platform of the Salt Lake County Republican Party asserts: “WE AFFIRM FREEDOM FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL AS EXPRESSED IN THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE AND PROTECTED BY THE CONSTITUTION.” Whereas, …
Why it is good to question the election process and results By Goud Maragani | Special to The Tribune | July 14, 2022 History shows that questioning election processes and results is a bipartisan affair. Over 20 years ago, both Democrats and Republicans lined up, questioned voting results and hoped the “hanging chads” would fall …

SCOTUS Ruling & SB174 ends abortion in Utah The Salt Lake County Republican Party is very thankful to the SCOTUS for their decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. We are also grateful for our Utah State Legislators who passed Utah’s “Trigger Law,” SB174. Especially Utah Senator Dan McCay, sponsor of the bill. This decision has …
Report Press conference In May of 2021, the Salt Lake County GOP formed an Election Integrity Committee to evaluate Salt Lake County’s voting system to determine what, if any, improvements can be made. The Committee is an all-volunteer committee with a variety of backgrounds (legal, engineering, information technology, statistics, banking/finance, and retail management). Our observations …
